Versapulse® Laser treatment is comfortable and side effects are few. They may include redness, swelling, or crusting at the treatment sight resolving in a few days. Good candidates for treatment with the Versapulse® Laser have light skin, which has not been exposed to the sun in recent months. Dark or tanned skin will absorb some of the laser light resulting in damage to the skin. Only small spider veins are effectively treated. Laser treatment is cosmetic, and does not treat vascular disease. It is therefore NOT covered by insurance and is not appropriate for large, bulging or varicosed veins or venous insufficiency.
